Two Witnesses

Listen now Read now

A witness is someone who can testify to the fact that something really happened or is actually true. The book of revelation describes two witness who were persecuted for their testimony. The Teachings of the New Church explain that these witnesses represent the two essential parts of what the New Church stands for, namely, that the Lord alone is God of heaven and earth, whose humanity is Divine, and that people ought to live in accordance with the Ten Commandments. These two truths, when lived, are what bear witness or testify that someone is part of the Lord’s New Church.

Orientated Towards the Lord – Part 2

Last week we talked about one of the broadest ways of organizing ourselves towards the Lord: making sure that love leads, that what is right  and true supports that love, that our own enjoyment follows next, and that external knowledge doesn’t become our focus.
