Fostering Empathy

A crucial part of loving other people is to be able to see ourselves in them, and to feel and share what they are feeling. Yet in order to do this well we also must remain distinct from other people. By both empathizing with and remaining distinct from other people the Lord can help us practice true love and charity for others.
