Kainon School

Kainon School was established in 1923, and this year has, on average, 63 students in grades 1 to 7.

Kainon exists to offer students an outstanding academic and social education in the light of New Church teachings. Small classes and progressive teaching methods allow students to thrive academically; personal attention helps each child achieve his or her potential; and clear spiritual and moral teachings ensure that the whole child is educated.

In today's world it is so important for children to be able to make moral and spiritual choices. At Kainon, children are taught Biblical stories, New Church principles, and are asked to wrestle with the challenges they will face in the world.
In addition, all children have opportunities to participate in sport (field hockey, cricket, cross-country, swimming, tennis, etc.) as well as drama and art. Students from Kainon have achieved at many of the finer secondary schools in the province, emerging as confident, mature, well-rounded students.

Kainon Pre Primary School

Kainon Pre-Primary started in 1989 as a small school of 15 students in a spare corner of Kainon School. It has grown to a school of over 70 students with four groups ranging from playschool (2 year olds) to Grade R (6 year olds) in its own mini-campus.

Led by Headmistress Daphne Plüg, and an outstanding staff of caring people, Kainon Pre-Primary is an excellent introduction to schooling for children in a warm, safe environment.

Children are taught Bible stories as well as standard curriculum. Kainon Pre-Primary is open to all Christian children.
